
HISTORY

1876
In March, early Idaho pioneers Benjamin and Caroline Morrow (a great-niece of Daniel Boone) founded the first church congregation in the Caldwell area.

1884
The small congregation of Reverand Benjamin Morrow builds Caldwell’s first church, the First Baptist Church of Caldwell, located at 11th and Chicago.


1911
A new church building is dedicated on the corner of 10th and Blaine in Caldwell to accommodate the growing congregation.
1941
A printed bulletin of the church stated, “We believe in the Inspired Book, the Precious Blood, and the Blessed Hope.”


1970
The current church building (the fifth one in the history of the congregation) was built on Linden Street in Caldwell.
2016
- First Baptist Church celebrated its 140th anniversary.
- Pastor Dick Shaw retired after faithfully serving as Senior Pastor for around 30 years.


2017
Pastor Brett Siegalkoff was unanimously voted in as the new Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church.
